This venue is available for special events, parties and weddings, with or without Roquette Catering and Event Design.
The owners also generously make it available for community events including film screenings, fundraisers, readings, dance performances, watching the 2016 campaign debates, whatever...
The atmospheric Atelier Roquette is hidden behind an industrial facade on Commerce Street. The space is a converted, loft-like small factory building with soaring ceilings and brick walls painted white. In warm months, the huge roll-up door is open to the street.
As an example of their very Red Hook style, the place has strong pop-up tendencies for the owners as well as clients. For an extended period of time, post hurricane Sandy, it was a fabulous "brunch garage" where the owners, who ran home/made until Sandy damaged it, produced brunch while their original location was out of commission. In this mode, you could find candles burning atop a Land Rover parked inside.
