Encarnancion Armas discusses her time living in Red Hook.

The Liberty Party Club.
“It was the Liberal Party Club. And we had a party for the children, and we had in the Red Hook Stadium, and it, we caught about 2 thousand Puerto Rican children,  we got the toys from the Novelty Toys Worker Union.”

Additional facts:

The Ram, Fordham University's newspaper, reported in 1974 that "Encarnacion  Armas, a United States leader  in the struggle for the  adjustment  of Puerto  Ricans in New  York and other major cities will also receive an honorary degree."
