Atlantic Basin around the end of the Civil War.
The sidewheel steamer is the TEAZER, formerly the Confederate blockade runner BAT.

The propeller steamer FAH KEE is beyond her.
The warehouses, with grain elevators, are lining Commercial Wharf.  The name painted on the center right grain elevator is "Masters' Elevator" which, according to the Brooklyn Almanac  was still in business in 1899.
Today, the Mary Whalen is lying at far right, in front of the latest generation of warehouse/industrial lofts being turned into luxury condominiums.
