Ad: Coastwise Lumber & Supply Co., 1910 -1920

In 1910-1920, Coastwise Lumber & Supply Company was a wholesaler and retailer of lumber, including cordwood, dunnage boards and dunnage mats, advertising "steamship trade a specialty." They had two yards in Brooklyn: one at the foot of Clinton Street and one on Hamilton Avenue. Lumber was one of the major commodities traveling in and out of Red Hook both in ships and floated in as large rafts.
